It's a reminder though that across the multiverse, there have only been a handful of variants of the Mad Titan who don't find a way to turn their lives into a massacre. It's such a dark turn that even the Cosmic Ghost Rider resists, fighting back against his "son" and ultimately undoing this possible timeline. He's given himself the chance to "punish" half of the world forever, all in the name of doing something "noble" for the rest of the universe. It's a horrifying literalization of the Punisher's mission on a fundamental level, filtered through the malicious side of Thanos. ![]() Thanos segregates anyone who won't live by his code to the ruins, constructing camps to contain the most dangerous insurgencies to his dominion over the world. But the other half of the world was portrayed as a hellscape built out of the ruins of the rest of the world and is left in constant pain and strife. The people were peaceful and protected by a version of Thanos who seemed to sincerely believe in protecting this safe society. The story features stops in Valhalla, Titan, and Earth. The result was an earth that was divided in two: one half of the planet, granted to those who followed the Punisher's laws, was a beautiful and green place. Cosmic Ghost Rider (formerly known as Punisher Frank Castle) has decided to change the course of history by going back in time and stealing baby Thanos from his crib. The Punisher has now become the Cosmic Ghost Rider, herald of Galactus and right hand of Thanos. These changes resulted in Earth-18138, a world where Thanos channeled his murderous drive through the Punisher's specific code. ![]()
